Build Connect Grow , 2017
Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery

Build Connect Grow is designed to highlight the way local identity and a sense of place is closely related to the built environment. I have translated the design details from the environment and local architecture into abstracted shapes. Enlarged and overlapping, these shapes create a multidimensional space emphasising a connection between shapes. This is a metaphor for the interconnected way that we relate with places and with each other, of multiculturalism, dynamic rhythm and movement, emphasising the visual interactions between shapes and reflecting an interaction between people.
